Math Gator
This has been a crazy season for many reasons. One of them is that we’re doing school at home! We’re not going back to school at all! I remember, though, in first grade, my awesome teachers, Mrs. Ash & Ms. Treretola, taught me about the MATH GATOR. If you don’t know about the math gator, he opens his mouth wide to chomp the bigger of two numbers. It was teaching us about the math idea of “greater than, less than, or equal to.”
I’ve been thinking about that math gator in the middle of this coronavirus. If we had to set up a math problem, I think it would look like:
GOD > Coronavirus
I know some things are hard in this season. My friend Izabella was turning nine last week, and we had to do a surprise birthday party on ZOOM. It was fun, but I probably would’ve liked it better if we could meet in person. After we’re done with school, we can watch TV. (I know all the kids are probably watching a lot of TV. I should know. I’m a kid!) But some days, I would really just like to go to the park and play with my friends.
XOXO,
Claire
